| Description: |
Tarpon
are simply magnificent. Tarpon will range in size from
little 5 lb. babies to the big females, which could tip
the scales to nearly 200 lbs. Tarpon have long hard runs
combined with an aerial show. Tarpon have an affinity
for flies as well as live bait and even dead bait. Tarpon
fishing is available most of the year, but the middle
of March through July is the best. The Silver King has
earned its name and nobody should go through life without
experiencing why. Last ray of dorsal fin extended into
long filament; one dorsal fin; back dark blue to green
or greenish black, shading into bright silver on the sides;
may be brownish gold in estuarien waters; huge scales;
mouth large and points upward. |
