More Information About Tripletail (Lobotes surinamensis):

Description: Tripletail is one of the most unusual looking fish. They are dark in color and have blotches of lighter colors mixed in. Tripletail are great fighters and usually are between 12 and 25" in length. Tripletail can be found all year long.

Where found: typically found near channel markers or crab pots bouys
   
Size: Usually 2-12 pounds, but it may exceed 30 pounds.
   
Florida Record: 42 lbs. 5 ozs.
   
Remarks: Still Fishing; Drifting; Casting.
